MPConnection stands for Multi-Player Connection. Originally this site was intended to be a place for online gamers to schedule their gaming sessions. Recently though the function of the site has changed to cover the FileMaker database applications I write. I tend to create system management databases for the games that I play but you'll eventually find some others lurking around here as well. If you're a FileMaker developer, feel free drop me an email. I always enjoy making contact with other FM developers. If you're a Call of Cthulhu gamer and are looking for a free gaming utility to help you organize your CoC games, check out the Downloads area and grab a copy of the CoCGMS, the Call of Cthulhu Game Management system. The CoCGMS is a FileMaker database runtime that lets CoC keepers document all of their game data. This includes a wide range of data from player character info, to NPC info, to monster data, and even complete scenario data, all linked and related in an easy to navigate structure. Bundled in with the data management features are additional gaming functions like combat utilities, an initiative builder, item, spell, skill and other catalogs, and all the dice rolling functions you should need to help make a game run smooth and snag free.
If you attend GenCon each year in Indy, you might also like the GenCon Easy Cat, a FileMaker runtime I created to help fellow GenCon attendees navigate the often times confusing event registration process. With this utility you can browse the events catalog and build a wish list of events to try for when registration opens up. The Easy Cat lets you browse the events catalog in a powerful interface that lets you organize what you are seeing much better than the online version of the catalog. You can then select events and add them to your wish list and organize and prioritize that list to let you know which games are most important to you when registration opens up. The forums here are dedicated to many gaming topics and everyone is encourages to register and jump into any discussions. Thanks from checking the site out and happy gaming. |
Welcome to MPConnection.com! Thanks for dropping in. This is the website of David Wolfe and the place to get information on many of the FileMaker database applications I write and offer to the public.
The CoCGMS even comes in a Mac version for all you Mac users.
